Quincannon Asia (formerly BQ) is a ship-broking company that acts on behalf of its clients as a liaison between the clients and their business partners, whether securing cargo for vessels, or vessels for cargo, or in providing detailed and up-to-date information and market forecasts as required by each client. In particular, the broking-staff of QA specialise in the chartering of tankers for the carriage of liquids, specifically any liquids that may be carried by Chemical Tankers (tankers with cargo tanks graded IMO I / IMO II and-or IMO III) and Gas Tankers (refrigerated, semi-refrigerated, and pressurised). The cargo list includes but is not limited to liquid chemicals, edible oils, bio-diesels, acids, solvents, lube oils, base-oils, LPG, olefins, VCM, NH3, LNG and other associated products.The company opened in Singapore in May 1998 to provide, along with offices in Europe and the USA, global cover to the groups' corporate clients, as well as a specialised local service for regional clients. To this aim QA is also ably assisted by its sister-company in Shanghai. The name and structure of the company has changed since its inception, but the business principles and practices have not. QA is owned by Quincannon Associates Inc in New York - a well known and well respected company around the world.
