For more than a century, Federal University of Lavras represents a diversified network of people, interconnected with the objective of generating knowledge, innovation and the societal development. Since its foundation, as the Agricultural School of Lavras in 1908, and, later, as the Agriculture College of Lavras, UFLA has conquered a prominent position in the national scenario and has been expanding its network of contacts in the global science and innovation context.  UFLA is proud to have been a pioneer in the development of new cultivars and agricultural machinery, in the improvement of rural constructions and in the innovation of extension services, with the release of technical and scientific journals that have made history.
