Implementing Evidence-Based PracticesPathways Research has held contracts funded by Health Canada over the past 3 years in Saskatchewan and Manitoba to create an implementation model and drive implementation of substance use and behavioural health screening and intervention in front-line health care. This has led to significant insight and methods to implement and drive uptake of evidence-based clinical practices in a thoughtful and sustainable way.Health Writing Health care information is written at such a high level that people with less than a university education are often unable to fully comprehend material that they are asked to read, respond to, or fill out. This leads to patients unable to understand treatment instructions and creates challenges for clinicians to assess patients. We have expertise in assessing and writing health material at lower comprehension levels to allow patients to comprehend what they are reading.SoftwareOur medical software product enables patients to self-complete basic health questions on a digital tablet while in a clinic waiting or exam room and then provides the clinician with an actionable profile. This software functions as a digital medical assistant allowing for clinicians to convert unused patient time into saved clinician time in a cost-effective way that can better manage care. Our TeamDavid Brown, PhD is the owner of Pathways Research.
