Since its incorporation in 1992, Radio Design Group has grown from an RF consulting company specializing in small commercial markets to a major designer and provider of RF and other specialized electronics in both the commercial and defense related markets. Reflecting the caliber of its engineering and technical staff, the company has positioned itself to be a vital contributor of unique and innovative products that have advanced the state of technology for its clients. Although continuing its tradition of innovative designs, the company has expanded the value of its services through providing for the high quality manufacturing of its designs. As important as its technical innovations, the principle tenet guiding Radio Design Group's business philosophy is its dedication to customer care. This unqualified commitment is a direct by product of the moral compass guiding the company, including the exceptional emphasis and care that we put into our employees. The company was founded by Jim Hendershot, who, as an innovator from his early years, was chiefly responsible for designing and developing the ubiquitous call boxes commonly found on interstate highways, such as in California. Throughout the technological progression through time, the level engineering excellence was borne out through his cutting edge designs such as the first PCMCIA telephone modem (for Apple laptops), pager watches (for Swatch), and a pager with a built in organizer (prior to the common availability of cell phones). These levels of engineering excellence and innovative designs have now been carried forward to our ongoing commitments in supporting the U.S. Department of Defense with electronic components vital to helping safeguard our nation. In 2013, Radio Design Group completed construction of an entirely new state-of-the-art facility in the city of Rogue River, Oregon.
