Cartwright was established in 1986 to fill a gap in the market by providing specialist actuarial and pension services to small and medium sized defined benefit schemes. Founded by Ian Cartwright, who, as Chairman, continues to be fully involved in the business, the company has always adopted a ‘pioneer’ approach; that same spirit remains today with the company continually seeking to find new and innovative ways to improve systems and methodologies. Originally located in Godalming, Surrey, the growth of the company has generally been achieved through organic expansion. Today, Cartwright has a strong, highly experienced and expert team of 90 staff members and the company is owned by the employees. Four core teams - actuarial, pensions administration, pensions management and investment consulting - all work together seamlessly to provide truly bespoke solutions for each customer.
