IGC is a non-profit, medical research organization specializing in human tissue biobanking, molecular analysis and the translational development of diagnostic/theranostic testing. IGC has developed an efficient and validated process to navigate all aspects of regulatory compliance, tissue collection, pathology, molecular derivative generation, analysis, pharmaceutical research services, clinical trials and successful translation into theranostic testing all under the same level of strict quality control. IGC was founded with the support of the City of Phoenix, Maricopa County, leading pharmaceutical and computational medical technology companies, world-renowned scientitsts, foundations and internationally recognized academic research institutions. The most notable accomplishments of IGC include:The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) Biospecimen Core Resource (BCR)IGC is the BCR for TCGA and serves as a centralized laboratory/repository that reviews and processes all cancer and normal tissue samples (blood included) and their associated data using rigorous standard operating procedures for TCGA Research Network. ExpOThe expO biospecimen repository was one of the nation's first public repositories for cancer biosamples, genomic data and clinical outcome information. It is a national resource that is available to assist non-profit and for-profit research worldwide.
