The curriculum of Mount Vernon is heavily influenced by the principles of Design Thinking and accomplished by the concepts of Project Based Learning. By focusing on solving people-centered problems, Mount Vernon's students are gaining real-world skills today. By putting the user first and starting with empathy, Mount Vernon students are acquiring a deeper and richer understanding of the world around them. By working with companies and non-profits such as Delta, Porsche, Chick-fil-a, Magic Wheelchair Project, City of Sandy Springs, and the Center for Civil and Human Rights, Mount Vernon Students are getting out of the classroom and making real change.
