At Rosen Vein Care, every appointment slot with every patient is designed to allow for a pleasant, unrushed experience.The consultation appointment is 1 hour long. This allows us to obtain a thorough medical history because you are more than just your leg veins: many factors can lead to legs that are uncomfortable and have varicose and spider veins.In addition, having ample time allows me the ability to do something else I love: teach! I feel strongly that ultimately the patient has to make the decision regarding whether it makes sense to undergo treatment. You are the "President" of your body; doctors should be advisors, not dictators. As your advisor, it's my responsibility (and pleasure) to make sure that you understand how leg veins are supposed to work (the physiology); how things can go wrong (pathophysiology) and the treatments that may help your legs feel and look remarkably better. Fortunately (for both of us), vein function, disease and treatment are readily understandable and logical things.
