Altoona Center for Nursing Care — conveniently located in Downtown Altoona — is a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Center. The first floor houses a Rehabilitation Unit, complete with physical, occupational, and speech-language therapies.The Center for Nursing Care has about 140 attending physicians, who are credentialed following guidelines for long-term care. Another 20 consulting physicians are available. We employ two case managers, a director of nursing, and an assistant director of nursing.
