The 2016 election season provided the impetus for this group of citizens to take up the mantle of journalists. We became dismayed at the performance of the American media complex. Within months, various threads of discussion coalesced around the idea that someone had to do something–and if not us, who? Those conversations ultimately became Torchlight Media, Inc.Torchlight Media consists of a wide range of individuals from many walks of life. Yes, the people that started this company largely lean a certain way politically. We do not shy away from our ideals, nor do we allow a false dichotomy to cloud our pursuit of the truth.
