Established in 1965 by Tony Grant, the firm has always been based in the West End of London and quickly established a reputation for being active commercial estate agents and surveyors.The Practice was the first West End firm to open a permanent office in London's Docklands in the late 1980's where they quickly established themselves as lead commercial estate agents on a large number of the early enterprise zone developments including advice relating to Canary Wharf.The Practice expanded into office business park and out of town retail agency in the 1990's acting for many of the main developers and retailers of the time. The Practice was acquired by four Directors in 1995 following a restructuring. In 2007 Grant and Partners acquired Mills and Wood, a niche Practice of agents specialising in commercial property to rent in London. Subsequently the firm changed its name to Grant Mills Wood to reflect the acquisition.Grant Mills Wood is one of the most active commercial property agents in London dealing with a variety of properties including industrial warehouses, licensed and leisure, retail and offices. The company has also dealt with a large number of railway arch transactions in the past 5 years acting for both Network Rail and Transport for London. The company continues to act in the disposal and acquisition of development and Investment opportunities throughout the south east of the country.The Practice has a thriving professional department dealing with all aspects of property valuation, landlord & tenant rent reviews and lease renewals, expert evidence, dispute resolution and other general practice instructions.
