"A Family of Faith Seeking to Know Christ and to Make Him Known"First Baptist Church began construction of its current location in 1923. Associated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, First Baptist Church normally has two worship services each Sunday (8:30 am and 11 am). The 8:30 service is set in a less formal environment and takes place in Kelly Auditorium. The 11 am service is a traditional worship service taking place in the sanctuary. First Baptist Church was one of the first Winston-Salem churches to provide professional, full-time child care and among the first such programs to be racially integrated. Our Children's Center has a Five Star rating and a full-time, professional staff.
