Align|em's mission is to align emergency managers and stakeholder communities, particularly those that are under represented and under served, to improve the accessibility and equity of emergency management in a collaborative, relentlessly solution-focused, partnership environment. To do that we provide a powerful and supportive online community (coming soon), online training courses, in-person and customized training, consultation with subject matter experts, and transformational presentations to groups.We don't want to keep our expertise to ourselves. We don't want to do the work for you, we want to teach you how to do the work because more people planning and responding inclusively means more individuals with access and functional needs remain safe and healthy after disasters. One team, one fight.Our team has real world experience in emergency management and response ranging from the local to the federal level. We have written, reviewed, and implemented plans; developed emergency programs; collaborated with government, NGO stakeholders, and elected officials; responded to disaster events; worked in EOCs; and led disaster recovery operations. Our focus is on operationalizing inclusive emergency management so that more emergency managers are able to develop fully accessible and equitable programs and services.
