Soon, the Texas Burger was born in Madisonville, Texas. James Carters' goal was to serve a fresh, never frozen hamburger with extraordinary customer service. Very quickly, this small town became a popular stopping point for travelers and locals alike to enjoy a great meal.Since 1973, Texas Burger has expanded throughout East Texas. Over the years, more restaurants from brands including Pizza Hut, Subway, Taco Bell, Church's Chicken and Spoons Yogurt became franchised and managed by Carter Enterprises as well. The company is now owned and operated by James' three sons, Moe, Joe and Abe Carter.
