We are exclusive suppliers of New Zealand's most effective rabbit trap.We work in horticulture and agriculture, and we see the devastation and loss caused by feral rabbits every day.But they're getting harder and harder to get rid of. There are fewer places where shooting is allowed or safe, poisons can put both native and domestic animals at risk, biological controls are ugly and just don't work long term. And as for the standard cage traps... well, you could trap one rabbit at a time... if you can ever get a rabbit to go into one.And the damn creatures breed like.... well, rabbits!So when we saw these unique rabbit traps in action, we got excited. Very excited. A TRAP THAT GOES RIGHT INTO THE MOUTH OF THE RABBIT BURROW. so rabbits are trapped as they exit the warren. And not just one rabbit at a time - the trap has a one way door, so can catch up to four rabbits at once (we've actually seen SIX in one trap, but we wouldn't want to brag). Wouldn't you get excited?There are a few tricks to it of course - rabbits are cunning sods after all - tricks like: • plugging all alternate exits from the warren or, better yet, having a trap in each exit.• de-scenting the traps - weather the traps to get rid of plastic smell, rub some greasy sheep wool around to cover human scent.• consider pegging the doors on the trap open for the first day, so the rabbits get used to coming and going via the trap tube.
