In Kenya, women without higher education or hard skills are cut off from most opportunities to earn a decent income. Since many women in Asembo can't afford higher education, they are left without economic independence, without the ability to provide basic needs for their children, and ultimately without hope for a better future. The lack of opportunity and hope in the community has led to high rates of unemployment, teen pregnancy, and poverty.We are working to transform the community by equipping women with technical, business, and life skills. Our training center serves as a beacon of hope, for those who can't afford higher education, by providing an opportunity to gain life-transforming skills.
