Diverse Options, Inc., (DO) is a private, non-profit, 501c (3) organization that serves the vocational and independent living needs of people with disabilities in the greater Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette and Waushara Counties. "To support, educate and empower individuals with disabilities to reach their highest level of independence" is the motto DO, Inc. stands by in the lives of people we serve through teamwork, flexibility, open communication and dedication to quality in all services and programs. DO, Inc. (formerly Ripon Area Service Center ) began in 1975 serving approximately 40 individuals. Today, the agency serves over 300 people annually in programs ranging from pre-vocational services to supported employment, operation of group homes to living independently in the community, recreation services to transportation programs. DO, Inc. employs 193 individuals directly in the Ripon community and utilizes a budget of approximately 3.1 million dollars. Funding for DO, Inc. programs and services is derived from contracts with government agencies to provide services to individuals with disabilities, production revenues from work provided to area industry in DO, Inc. production centers, gifts and grants from individuals, businesses and organizations.Consumer referrals for agency programs come from county and state human service organizations responsible for funding programs for people with disabilities.
