Mata was established in 2011 as a creative partnership between Suzi Todd and Russell Jarvis. From our studio in Cornwall, we collaborate with the finest manufacturers in Britain, to explore the exciting possibilities modern processes and materials have for contemporary homeware. We are passionate about design and the effect objects have on us. We believe the products that share our space should earn their keep by adding a little something positive at each interaction. At Mata, we aim to design objects with this elusive quality, along with elements of timelessness, sophistication and wit. We are also very passionate how objects come into being and what becomes of them, once out of the designers' hands. Call it sustainable design or ethical design, at Mata, we call it good design and all our products have these ideas at their core.
