Shasta College is a leader in higher education in California winning the highly selective Innovation in Higher Education award three times for nationally recognized programs that help students succeed in completing their certificate, degree or transferring to a University. Shasta College's 337-acre campus is home to a state-of-the-art $1.5 million Early Childhood Education child care center and instructional facility. The 44,000 square foot Health Sciences and University Center in downtown Redding houses the college's Dental Hygiene and Nursing Programs and also serves as host to baccalaureate degree programs. Shasta College is part of the California Community College system, which is the largest system of higher education in the world.
