National English High School is located in a populated locality of Virat Nagar but stands independently away in silent and serene surroundings. It was established in the year 1983. It was then the first English medium, Government Recognized Permanently Unaided Private School.The academic year begins in June. The course of studies of the school is arranged according to the syllabus laid down by the Department of Education Government of Maharashtra. Hindi and Marathi are taught in School. There is also a provision for learning Sanskrit.Besides the regular school subjects, drawing, handicraft, physical education, environment, general knowledge, work experience, music, computer literacy, personality development and social service are an integral part of the curriculum. The school strives for all round development of the students and hence sports and art activities are encouraged. It's noteworthy that students have emerged winners in various competitions at District, State and National level.Among the many achievements a few are listed here under:- Provides students to participate in National School Science Centre which has been functioning since 1987.- Perhaps the only School in the State and perhaps in the country propagating science through a Mobile Science Exhibition since 20 years.- The only School in Vasai taluka conducting educational tours outside the state continuously since 1988.- The only school in Vasai to have hosted Cambridge University English Examinations for 8 consecutive years.
