Enduralock offers the basic mechanical building blocks for the construction of a space infrastructure: a permanently locking fastener that is highly vibration resistant and unaffected by the harshness of space, paired withthe first mechanically locking nut plate that will engage an off-axis bolt and self-align for robotic construction in space. Enduralock fasteners are ideal for critical applications, as the fasteners remain locked even with total loss of preload (clamping force). Enduralock fasteners survived 10x the aerospace requirement for a self-locking nut, and reusability has been demonstrated to 250 cycles. Enduralock fasteners eliminate the need for safety wire, castle nuts, or adhesives, and a key attribute is that they reduce the time and cost of installation and maintenance.
