Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is a Local Authority in South Yorkshire. Rotherham is so much more than its industrial heritage and has lots to offer both in terms of career and lifestyle. Rotherham is made up of 70% open countryside, complemented by three popular country parks and has easy access to the M1, M18, high speed rail links and an international airport – a balance of green space with the ability to hop to cities such as Sheffield, Leeds, York and Manchester. Rotherham and its surrounding area are bustling with cultural and leisure activities including attractions such as Clifton Park, Boston Castle and Gardens, Magna Science Adventure Centre and Wentworth Woodhouse. Rotherham is proud of its coal and steel heritage and continues to have a strong manufacturing presence in the form of the Advanced Manufacturing Park. Rotherham is well underway with the implementation of its Masterplan for its Town Centre which sets plans for major developments from a vibrant leisure quarter, attractive outdoor spaces and high quality living.
