A BME Közigazgatási Informatikai Központ (BME IK) célja és feladata az Egyetemen belüli és azon kívüli kutatócsoportok, fejlesztő intézmények együttműködésének kezdeményezése, szervezése, koordinálása külső finanszírozású K+F+I munkákban. A Központ elősegíti és koordinálja saját, valamint a BME más szervezeti egységeiben meglévő tudásbázis hasznosítását, az információgazdaság piaci szereplőivel való együttműködést, saját és más egyetemi alkotó csoportok tudástranszferét. A BME IK kiemelten törekszik arra, hogy részt vállalhasson magas fokú tudáskoncentrációt igénylő, hazai informatikai, információtechnológiai fejlesztési feladatok megoldásában.\\A BME IK számos multinacionális és hazai vállalattal, kutatóintézettel dolgozik együtt hazai és nemzetközi fejlesztésekben, kutatásokban, valamint kormányzati és országos közigazgatási szervezetek informatikai feladatai megoldásában működik közre.\\Az első olyan egyetemi szervezeti egység, amely rendelkezik mind az ISO 9001-2000 minőségirányítási rendszer, mind az ISO 27001:2005 információvédelmi irányítási rendszer hivatalos tanúsítványával.\\The goal of BME IK is to initiate, organise and coordinate cooperation between the University, other research groups and industry partners for various national, international R&D projects. The Centre utilises and coordinates its own resources, as well as the resources of the University to build cooperation with the IT industry. BME IK strives to take part in highly knowledge intensive IT development projects in order to be able to improve the competitiveness of national enterprises through technology transfer.\\BME IK has ongoing cooperation with numerous national and multinational companies and research institutes. It works with government and administration organizations to aid them in solving their IT tasks.\\BME IK is the first such university entity that has both ISO9001-2008 quality control and ISO27001:2005 information security certification.
