The company was founded by Tom MacGuinness in 1985 out of the necessity to make life better for the horse. He had a very simple philosophy back then: "If you could send a man to the moon, we could make a horse rug that that didn't leak, didn't make the horse sweat and didn't move when the horse rolled, and so the Rambo original rug was born".
