The restaurant now known as Smoke Signals began as a shared idea between two people who love to cook, eat, and enjoy ridiculously tasty food. The thought of living and working in Lake Placid was pretty appealing too… Everything served at Smoke Signals is made from scratch, and only ingredients that meet our standards are selected. Whether buying cheese from local farms, choosing free-range chicken over their caged brethren, or smoking meat in the low and slow tradition, quality comes first, and tastiness always follows. We built Smoke Signals utilizing as many American-made and reclaimed materials as possible. Old whiskey barrels and brick line our walls, and oxidized nail holes adorn our reclaimed wooden floors. Visit us on Main Street, Lake Placid sometime soon for good eats, good times, and live music on the reg.
