Dubai Police was founded on the 1st of June 1956, following a decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, assigning His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, presidency of the police and social safety in Dubai. There forth, selecting the "Naif Fort," currently the Naif Police Station in Deira, as the headquarters at that time. By the year 1973, the headquarters was relocated to the current location of the Dubai Police headquarters.The initial logo of Dubai Police, designed by Commander Clayton, carried over by the leader (Lodemeier) and replaced by another leader, Jack Briggs, who initiated the association of police work.
