Orissa Overseas was set up in early 2000 with a vison to promote hand crafted art & organic spices.It has been our genuine and earnest effort to continue making a difference by promoting the traditional art form of Odisha around the World.Our Promoter Mr. Dhiren Das is a Mechanical Engineer from REC (NIT) Rourkela and being a free-spirited entrepreneur, coming from a creative family he never shied away from starting anything new. He has been an entrepreneur for the last 40+years, his interest in art made him work with national award winning artisans and craftsmen of - Pattachitra, Saura Tribal Painting, Dhokra & Palm leaf etching. We have showcased these paintings across India through solo exhibitions in galleries. These were the times when people hardly knew about handcrafts from Odisha. Gallery OIC (An initiative of Orissa Overseas) was set up as a well-recognized professional Art Gallery, in Bhubaneswar. Gallery OIC operates as a distinct alternative to public art galleries, museums, and commercial art venues. We work closely with budding artists undergoing formal training at Art Schools in Odisha with an intention to create an Art platform to showcase their talent. We not only showcase art from Odisha but also promote Original Hand paintings and other crafts.Gallery OIC is the only Gallery to for Traditional Paintings of Odisha
