There is still a stigma that alcoholics are somehow less than others, which is not valid. Those with successful jobs and clean records are not exempt. Negative stereotyping of individuals with alcoholism can leave people in denial, believing that alcoholics are those who drink as soon as they wake up and continue drinking until they pass out. They may also think that alcoholics be homeless, are estranged from their families, and drink cheap cider or wine. I am living proof that is not the caseWhat is different about me?
