In 1918, Henry L. Rivers founded a drainage and municipal engineering services consulting practice in Greenville, North Carolina. In 1959, the company evolved into Rivers & Associates, Inc., a privately held general business corporation providing services focused throughout all of eastern North Carolina. Now over 100 years since its original founding, Rivers is a full service multi-discipline practice providing civil engineering, planning, surveying and landscape architecture services to federal, state and local governments; medical and educational institutions; residential and commercial development; and industry.
