In 2004 Diane and Ted Greene stepped off the corporate treadmill to pursue a life of travel and adventure. Out of that dream came the vision to create Toronto's only Bed and Breakfast on a Boat. 10 years later they remain the only Boatel (Boat + Hotel) in Toronto and one of two in Canada. The award winning Boatel has been featured in radio, television and newspaper articles for it's innovative service and unique lifestyle. Sometimes affectionately called a Floatel, Making Waves Boatel has hosted hundreds of guests from around the world and is well known for its customer service and remembered for it's decadent breakfast. The Boatel provides unique accommodations for for a romantic getaway or an alternative business travel accommodation destination. It operates from May to September in downtown Toronto and during the winter the Greene's travel to the US and Bahamas aboard the 65 foot trawler.
