After the Fire: Recover. Rebuild. Reimagine (ATF3R) is an initiative of Rebuild NorthBay Foundation (RNBF) a registered 501c3 + 501c4 (RNB) organization dedicated to helping communities recover, rebuild and reimagine post-disaster. In July of 2021, RNBF began doing business as After the Fire: Recover. Rebuild. Reimagine (ATF3R). RNBF was founded in 2017 during an unprecedented megafire disaster in the North Bay of San Francisco. Building on years of wildfire disaster response experience, this evolution of RNBF's work in brings wildfire leaders, both official and emergent, together to work across sectors and silos, while expanding access to wildfire resiliency and disaster recovery funds and systems. Jennifer Gray Thompson will continue to serve at the helm as ATF3R's CEO and joining her as COO is Charles Brooks, Founder & Executive Director of Rebuild Paradise Foundation. Charles and Jennifer met days after he lost his family home in the devastating Camp Fire. Since Nov. of 2018, Jennifer and Charles have worked closely to help their own communities recover while also paying lessons forward to newly wildfire affected areas. ATF3R is a joining of forces to provide greater impact across the American West.As ATF3R, our work is focused on three program areas: 1) wildland & home resiliency 2) applied technologies to aid in resilience and recovery, and 3) help for wildfire affected communities navigating recovery. RNBF/ATF3R Board President Judy Coffey lost her home in the Tubbs Fire and will continue to serve in her leadership capacity through 2021: "In 2017, RNBF was an innovation, a vision, and we have spent nearly four years challenging the traditional disaster nonprofit model in effective and transformative ways. We are determined to make a significant difference in both long-term recovery and wildfire mitigation. I thank RNBF's Board of Directors for their leadership in this transformative process. We are ready to meet the moment." Together, we do.
