United Controls International was established as a division of Reliance Electric in 1971 and was later spun off as an independent company. We supply a comprehensive range of safety related items and services, including: seismic qualification; harsh environment qualification; such as radiation, LOCA, and thermal testing; EMI/RFI qualification; and commercial grade dedication. Additionally, UCI assists plants with obsolescence issues, provides re-engineering services, and also provides engineering consulting services. UCI is the only source for Nuketape®, which is qualified for harsh environment applications within nuclear power plants. UCI meets the highest standards of quality control established by the nuclear industry and other standards authorities. UCI maintains a 10CFR50 Appendix B program audited by NUPIC & NIAC. UCI has designed, manufactured, tested and installed systems in scores of nuclear power generation plants around the world.
