Since 1891, YWCA Northwestern Illinois has remained dedicated to women and families of the Rockford region. Today, we deliver our mission, "eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all," to the four-county region on Boone, Winnebago, Stephenson, and Jo Daviess counties, Ilinois. YWCA Northwestern Illinois provides programming and advocacies for more than 6,500 women, children, and families each month, who seek economic self-sufficiency through child care subsidy, job skills and computer training. YWCA Northwestern Illinois' community racial justice work promotes a clear commitment to equality and the empowerment of every woman.
