Our mission:"The Okanagan Science Centre is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to " inspire scientific inquiry through dynamic and interactive learning experiences; to encourage all ages to appreciate the relevance and universality of science, and its application in our region."Overview:The Interior Space and Science Centre (formerly the Vernon Science Centre) opened in October 1990 in the TOLKO building in downtown Vernon. We relocated to the heritage Park School in Polson Park in March of 1997.OSC offers a unique collection of hands-on exhibits that are based on scientific principles including Sound, Electricity and Magnetism, Light and Optics, Mechanics, Astronomy and Space Science.In addition to our general tours, we offer special programs including School Break Camps, Birthday Parties, and School Field Trips (please check our Products page).The Vernon Science and Discovery Society is registered non-profit society #119283448RR001 (1985/08/22) that operates the Okanagan Science Centre.
