San Diego Sabers LLC, a California Limited Liability Company is an Amateur Junior Hockey team engaged in a business of identifying, developing, training and promoting young hockey players ages 16-20 years old to help to advance them to play college hockey. Since 2001 the Sabers have been a part of the WSHL. Established in 1993, the Western States Hockey League (WSHL) is an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) sanctioned, junior ice hockey league. In the 2017–18 regular season the league will feature 27 teams competing across four divisions, all playing a 52-game regular season schedule, which mimics what players would experience at the collegiate level. This is the third season operating as a UHU-sanctioned Tier II league. The team will play their home games at the Ice-Plex Ice Arena in Escondido, California. Every team participate at the college showcase in Las Vegas, Nevada right before Christmas. The showcase hosts over 100 scouts from upper Junior, NCAA & ACHA colleges as well as from the professional ranks.
