My Alberta based company sepcializes in manufacturing industrial grade metal nameplates. Our product is call Photometal and its the same type of material used on medical, oilfield, marine, aricraft and defense equipment. Photometal is an anodized aluminium, whose image is sealed, impervious to acid, fungus, salt, moisture, weathering and temperature extremes. The durability of Photometal is due to its unique process - the image is imbedded within a sapphire hard anodized layer.\The Photometal process is precise and can hold images and tolerances other printing methods cannot. This is especially important with schematics, wiring diagrams or plates with tight copy. \Photometal is resistant to the common agents that destroy many types of other labels. The face of Photometal labels are more resistant to corrosion than stainless steel, Monel or standard black- anodized aluminum . In recenent years, use of other technologies has increased, such as laser markable anodized aluminum, but field experince and laboratory tests show that these substrates will fade outdoors - leading to label failure. Photometal is imbedded deeep into the aluminum, - certified for 20+ years of outdoor exposure, meeing an array of commerical, government and military sepcifications.
