Girl Child Care Advancement Initiative (GCCAI) is a non-governmental organization in Nigeria that caters to the needs of the girl child. We observed that there are huge financial, social and cultural obstacles that inhibit girls from accessing certain opportunities compared to their male counterparts. In view of that, our organization seeks to bridge those gaps by empowering the girl child to connect with opportunities. Our vision is to live in a world where every girl child actualizes her rights to survival, protection, participation, and self fulfillment in the society. As such, we strive to adequately cater to the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of the girl child.Part of what we do as an organization is prepare the girl child to take her rightful place in the society – spanning different spheres from education, to politics, governance, and overall nation building. Indeed, our slogan, "Empower The Girl Child, Advance The Nation" embodies this goal. GCCAI therefore encourages young girls to realize their worth by promoting their educational and life skills in order to prepare & empower them for leadership roles in their communities and success in their personal lives.
