Economic recession has left hundreds of thousands of people without jobs, shattering their self-respect; leaving them and their families in despair. The downturn has increased the number of hands seeking support many folds in comparison to those offering some help. The crisis has shrunk the poll of jobs available, increasing the number of dependents of charity organizations; charity do save the desperate from collapsing, though takes self respect and dignity along, still some folks, who despite massive pressures, intend to safe guard their poise, seek to borrow to establish a medium of self employment. Since there isn't any formal organization who lends to the poor; a fraction are lucky only if their relatives who are better off, if not, they approach charity organization, at best , at worst they sell even kill their children or set themselves on fire, in front of press clubs. About 50% of Pakistan's population is now living below or around the poverty line, has a propensity of such a fate. Even in urban areas vicious circle of poverty has kept multiple generations of people facing its horrors, giving rise to various problems, such as hike in street crimes, eventually threatening the safety of our lives and of our loved ones. Keeping this in view it's in the best interest of the privileged to help the less privileged to rise to their feet. It's not only our responsibility but being a Muslim it's also an obligation.
