Founded in 1981, Greater Chicago Legal Clinic boasts a storied history and a legacy of providing affordable, high-quality legal services for the most underserved populations in the Chicagoland community. From our original storefront office in South Chicago to our expansion into the Pilsen, Austin, and downtown neighborhoods to our projected growth into the Cook County suburbs, our hardworking staff have long served as community justice advocates meeting the civil legal needs of Chicagoland's working class.Recognizing that most working-class families do not have sufficient resources to hire private attorneys, GCLC provides a sliding-scale fee approach that provides access to justice for disadvantaged individuals and families, even if they do not qualify for pro bono legal aid.
