A sleek white fiberglass pod holds 10" of skin temperature, ultra-filtered water with 1000 pounds of epsom salt. You effortlessly float face up for an hour, with the absence of sound and light. This anti-gravity state, coupled with the sensory restricted state and the benefit of magnesium, lends itself to a therapy which helps with both stress reduction and with pain management. Many use floating in tandem with other therapies, and include regular floating sessions as part of a healthy active lifestyle. Some use it to manage anxiety and mental wellness.
