Lubert-Adler's Investment thesis and strategy includes 1) pursuing a disciplined investment strategy of creating cash‐yielding rental assets, with the goal of 10‐12% cash yield within 18 months of acquisition; 2) specific asset focus - multifamily, credit retail; urban retail/multifamily mixed‐use, and limited service hospitality; 3) value-added executions - renovations, repositionings and redevelopments with local partners and national specialists; and 4) downside protection - costs bases of 2/3rds of the competitive set with margins sufficient to offset an expected rise in interest rates.
