Located in San Juan Capistrano, The Ecology Center educates, inspires, and involves people in the stewardship of Southern California's environment through hands-on, practical solutions in the areas of Food, Water, Shelter, Waste, and Energy. We provide a variety of programs such as Backyard Skills, a DIY workshop series; Tools of the Trade, roundtable discussions with local eco-experts; The Water Shed, a mobile interactive, educational exhibit; Farm to Fork, children's cooking classes with local chefs; and Basic Needs, a summer speaker series to continue high-level dialogue about some of the current global ecological movements. The Ecology Center is founded on the principle that individuals can make a difference. We encourage visitors to "be part of the solution!"​ and join our community.
