Construction of the Johnson City, Tennessee facility began in 1996 and the Staple Plant began operations in the spring of 1997.The company has an established reputation in producing bi-component and specialty staple fibers from a wide variety of thermoplastic materials in a range of deniers from 0.9 dpf to 32 dpf and in multiple cross-sectional arrangements.A partial list of polymers used in commercial products includes: PET, CoPET, PP, HDPE, PPS, and PLA. Fiber Innovation Technology operates a Pilot Line to allow development of new products and processes.
