When the coronavirus struck China, our founders were away from their home in Shanghai, staying in U.S. As the virus spread around the country, our founders' former physician partners beseeched them to use their longstanding personal contacts to help bring in critically necessary PPE and medical devices (such as ventilators) to healthcare workers.
