Wildlife Encounters, LLC is a not-for-profit tax-exempt corporation that EXCLUSIVELY delivers the extremely popular Wildlife Encounters® environmental education and community outreach programs. Originally established in December of 2004 - its principle officer is Derek Small, who, as a respected professional in the Environmental Education industry - sets the vision for the organization and personally is involved with the delivery of many of it's services which often include live-animal exhibitions, classes and "shows". In May of 2010, Wildlife Encounters, LLC and it's owners sponsored, supported and funded the establishment of a NH charitable trust - a budding non-profit originally called the "Granite State Zoo", but which later adopted the name "The W.I.L.D. Center & Zoological Park of new England". Until December of 2011, Wildlife Encounters, LLC allowed the non-profit, with Derek remaining as it's owner but now employed as Executive Director of the non-profit, to carry-on the delivery of it's branded services and use the assets of the LLC to operate, free of charge. Under Derek's leadership and with the support of the Board of Directors, the non-profit grew quickly and Derek officially dissolved the LLC as a business entity in December 2011, causing all of it's assets to legally become his personal property, and which his employer was permitted to continue to use and maintain at no charge. On April 9th, 2013 Derek left the non-profit he founded for ethical reasons resulting from other Board members' activities. Due to resulting financial and legal trouble, the non-profit closed by the end of 2013. Due to public demand, Wildlife Encounters, LLC was "resurrected" on April 15th, 2013 and officially resumed delivering Wildlife Encounters® Shows, classes and exhibit services on April 28th, 2013! We appreciate your support for us and our animals, and we look forward to working with you in the near future!
