Organized in 1982, IPHCA advocates for quality health care for all persons residing in Indiana and supports the development of community-oriented primary care initiatives (including Community Health Centers, or CHCs) that are:\\Affordable (based on income),\\Available (services delivered when needed),\\Accessible (services delivered where needed),\\Appropriate (emphasizing continuous, comprehensive, prevention-oriented primary care), and \\Acceptable (to everyone residing in the community regardless of cultural heritage, financial status, or personal circumstances).\\IPHCA BELIEFS AND VALUES: \1.Health care is a right, not a privilege.\2.Grassroots advocates are crucial to community-supported health care.\3.Comprehensive, integrated, and coordinated primary health care encompasses medical, dental, behavioral health, and enabling services.\4.The Community Health Center model, to which the consumer's voice is integral, provides for an outcome-based and patient-focused health care home.\5.IPHCA equips leaders to advance health care goals and objectives.
