Located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee, Townsend Atelier is a visual art school and supplier of specialized fine art materials. The Atelier Method is a way of teaching fine art that is modeled after historic art studios in Europe where professional artists pass down their tremendous skill set to students through teaching classical techniques in painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture. Our classes and workshops are for all ages and range from the professional working artist, to art teachers, to beginners who all seek to develop their artistic skills in a unique and welcoming atelier setting. All of our programs are taught by professional local and visiting artists.We also specialize in quality and sometimes hard to find art materials for mold making, casting, patinas, finishes and painting.
