Seahawks Basketball is an incorporated sporting association based at Coomera and Runaway Bay and servicing the northern Gold Coast region. Established in its current form in 2006 (originally the Runaway Bay Basketball Association), we provide the opportunity for children, teenagers and adults from all backgrounds and levels of ability to participate and enjoy basketball.Seahawks is a non-profit organisation bound by a Constitution which forms the structure and rules within which we operate. The elected Board is also guided strategically and in day-to-day operations by their shared values of respect, inclusion, community, professionalism and fun. Local developing basketball clubs are governed by and participate within the Seahawks Basketball, each with their own members, officials and players.Seahawks provides a strong junior club competition, as well as senior social basketball for men, women and mixed competitors. Both of these competitions run year round with Summer and Winter seasons and cater for all levels of players. Elite players participate in our Junior Representative program, which runs for one season each year and caters for players wanting to represent Seahawks Basketball in competitions spanning across South East Queensland, as well as pursue a pathway to elite basketball.Other services offered by Seahawks Basketball include basketball coaching, schools programs and specialist clinics and training camps. A good range of basketball merchandise is also available for sale, including balls, basketball accessories, apparel and playing uniforms.
