The aim of network-industries.org is to keep you updated about both the technological and institutional (regulatory) changes that the old and the new network industries are undergoing before our eyes. On the website you will find our quarterly publication, relevant policy-briefs as well as opportunities for publishing, announcements for conferences along with calls for papers, contacts and many other useful information. Network-Industries.org is our main tool for communicating worldwide. We cover the traditional network industries in the areas of transport, energy, communications, water and wastewater. These industries were shaped over the past 30+ years by processes of privatisation, de-regulation and re-regulation. As of the past 10 years, profound technological transformations, especially digitalisation, have furthermore transformed these traditional network industries and have given rise to a new type of network industries, namely digital platforms. These, in turn, call for new and innovative ways of regulation. The Transport Area of the Florence School of Regulation (FSR Transport) at the European University Institute manages the network-industries.org website and co-edits the Network Industries Quarterly. The Network Industries Quarterly is the result of collaboration between FSR Transport, the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and Istanbul Technical University. Each issue provides consistent original analysis, information and opinions on current issues regarding network industries. We currently distribute to over 6000 persons, most of whom we have come to know personally at some point over the past years. FSR Transport is dedicated to policy dialogue, policy-relevant research, training, and networking in the area of transport regulation in Europe. It is concerned with the regulation of all modes of transport and a wide range of other topics related to digital and sustainable mobility.
