Manly Hydraulics Laboratory (MHL) is an engineering consultancy with over seven decades of experience across a range of water, coastal and environmental management fields. We undertake a wide range of projects across both public and private sectors and provide specialist services in a broad range of water related disciplines to tackle the complex water and environmental challenges. MHL is a business unit within the Water Division of the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. MHL is a leading team of specialists solving problems related to water and the environment using the best practice and expertise in advanced computer modelling and physical modelling. MHL's experienced hydrographers operate one of the world's most comprehensive coastal and environmental data collection networks on behalf of NSW Government, hosting over 16,000 station years of continuous data extending from the 1980s. MHL has established a reputation as a trusted, specialist water management consultancy and been qualified with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certificate.
